About us
Behind every great restaurant there is a story worth telling.“Frank’s Place” begins with Frank Santomenno, an Italian American who set foot in Panama in the 1960s and became part of the soul of this country.
A visionary and entrepreneur, he was the man who brought computers and cable television to Panama. In 1975 he founded REPROSA Treasures of Panama, driven by his passion for the arts and his desire to preserve the history of the land that had adopted him.
His grandson, Chef Robert Santomenno Wallace, now honors the legacy that Frank offered to him; his spirit, his era, and his family traditions, especially the art of cooking. Robert’s tribute, dedicated to his beloved grandfather…. “Frank’s Place”.
The 1950s shaped Frank forever. It was the era of Sinatra, Marilyn Monroe, and Hollywood glamour at its finest.
That era is today the soul of Frank’s Place: an original 1953 Harley Davidson a treasured possession of his Uncle Archie on display, photographs of the icons who defined a generation lining every wall, and a waitstaff in vintage attire that makes every guest feel like they’ve stepped into a classic moving picture.
You can’t help but feel time slip away and half expect another Frank to walk through the door, perhaps singing “My Way.”
Frank’s Place is located at PH Plaza Zoom, Calle 53 and Av. Ricardo Arango, Ground Floor, Obarrio, Panama City.
